Objective:
The recruitment is designed to secure additional federal funding and promote growth in specific areas of basic and translational research.

Role Responsibilities:
This position will provide essential leadership and significantly bolster UMSON's research capabilities by:
1. Offering strategic support to faculty researchers.
2. Educating faculty on DoD and other federal funding avenues.
3. Enhancing the quality of research submissions.

Impact:
These initiatives will not only support pioneering research projects but will also improve educational and patient care programs by integrating advanced military health technologies and insights.

Engagement with DoD:
This recruitment represents a new effort to systematically increase UMSOM's involvement with DoD health technology research programs. The position will focus on:

  • Building a strong pipeline of research applications.
  • Facilitating interdisciplinary collaborations.
  • Establishing a prominent presence at relevant DoD conferences and symposia.

These efforts will position UMSOM as a leader in military health research.
