Join Our Infectious Disease Team

We are seeking an exceptional Infectious Disease Physician to join our team at Creighton University Medical Center-Bergan Mercy hospital in Omaha, Nebraska. As a key member of our ID team, you will play a vital role in delivering patient care, teaching multiple levels of learners, and leading a nationally recognized hospital epidemiology program.

Clinical Opportunities
  • Work in a tertiary medical center with a Level 1 trauma center, 24-hour in-house hospitalist coverage, and robust surgical services.
  • Collaborate with an infection prevention team in an academic medical facility, with opportunities for regional and national collaboration to advance evidence-based practices.
  • Provide full-spectrum adult infectious disease care, including HIV, hepatitis B, hepatitis C, sexually transmissible infections, antimicrobial stewardship, infection prevention, orthopedic ID, public health advocacy, and medical education.
  • Enjoy a diverse and growing ID group with 14 ID physicians and 10 advanced practice providers, offering a range of interests and opportunities for collaboration.
  • Participate in a call schedule of 1:4 and enjoy a strong work-life balance.
Academic and Educational Opportunities
  • Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and ID fellows in a dynamic educational environment.
  • Participate in weekly ID citywide clinical case conferences, grand rounds, and fellow educational sessions.
  • Engage in twice-weekly microbiology rounds and monthly in-house journal club, as well as weekly internal medicine grand rounds.
  • Collaborate with an ID-trained APP and participate in academic service rounding teams with ID fellows, internal medicine residents, medical students, and a clinical pharmacist.
Research and Professional Development

  • Participate in committees within the health system to promote patient care and practice development.
