Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Bar Service Professional to join our team at Matchbox Restaurant Group. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring a memorable dining experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Take and fill orders from guests or servers in accordance with timing, recipe, and service standards.
• Consistently execute accurate pours and interact with guests to ensure they feel welcomed and cared for throughout their visit.
• Follow opening and closing procedures/checklists, and maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Ring in orders into the point of sale system, collect payment, and accurately process payment and/or make change.
• Understand and practice proper safe food and beverage handling procedures, and card all guests that appear to be under the legal drinking age.
• Strive to hit sales goals as assigned by the general manager, and complete side-work tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• A minimum of 6 months experience in high-volume, upscale casual dining or an equivalent service environment.
• Able to stand and walk for up to 10 hours per day, and lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
• Able to work calmly and effectively under pressure, and perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Must be of legal age to prepare, serve, and ring alcoholic beverages, and able to work flexible shifts and schedules.
• Certified in responsible alcohol service, and able to communicate effectively in the primary language of the work location.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous server experience, and high school diploma (or equivalent).
• Able to work within a fast-paced, highly mobile environment, and perform essential functions and demonstrate competencies to company standards with reasonable accommodation.
