At E2 Consulting Engineers, we are seeking a highly skilled Automation Technologist to join our Engineering Automation team. As an Automation Technologist, you will play a crucial role in assisting EGS, automation engineers, and project users in identifying and extracting technical data from various sources.

The ideal candidate will have a strong aptitude for utilizing the computer to collect, organize, and present technical data. You will work with the Engineering Automation team to schedule and report work progress, organize and coordinate software lifecycle documents, create user accounts, update the Engineering Automation website with the latest information, perform routine data quality checks, and provide user assistance related to automation tools.

Responsibilities of the Automation Technologist include:

  • Providing access or creating user accounts to software and applications supported by Engineering Automation.
  • Performing routine data quality checks and supporting EGS, Lead, and engineers in tracking information, locating documents, and document preparation.
  • Supporting training presentations, including preparing training documents and slides.
  • Supporting the preparation of change management documents under the engineer's supervision.

The Automation Technologist will assure that work is performed on schedule with high-quality standards for nuclear facilities. Additionally, the candidate must have excellent communication skills and demonstrate leadership, quality, and safety values within the work group and to interfacing disciplines.

Qualifications for the Automation Technologist position include:

  • Bachelor's degree plus 1 year or less of related experience.
  • US Citizenship Required.
  • Ability to complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Computer skills required for the Automation Technologist position include proficiency in software tools (MS Excel, Word, Access, Power Point) and a strong aptitude for utilizing the computer to collect, organize, and present technical data through the use of relational databases.

The Automation Technologist will analyze data within technical documents to identify relevant information and properly classify that information so that it can be sorted and readily retrieved for later analysis and use by project staff.

The ideal candidate will possess the desire and ability to monitor large quantities of information and employ efficient extraction techniques in response to requests for information.

As a member of the Engineering Automation team, the Automation Technologist will communicate with other data analysts, engineers, technical experts, and management.

The Automation Technologist will possess the ability to accurately identify and extract relevant information from technical documents and present it in a clear and concise manner.
