Registered Nurse

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team at Mercy Health System. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Responsibilities- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, adhering to approved nursing techniques, policies, and procedures.
- Document patient information accurately and thoroughly, in accordance with standards of care.
- Develop and implement individualized patient plans of care, in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in departmental performance improvement activities, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices.
- Utilize clinical expertise to support the longitudinal care of patients, collaborating with other units and departments as needed.
- Apply critical thinking skills to ensure patient safety and satisfaction, escalating concerns to the appropriate chain of command as necessary.
- Participate in the professional nursing continuum process, unit practice activities, and peer review process.

To be considered for this role, you must:
- Hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree or be enrolled in an accredited BSN completion program.
- Be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice.
- Have a minimum of 12 months of RN experience, with specific years of experience required for certain departments.
- Hold approved CPR certification and meet other certification requirements as specified by the department.
The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate, and you will be required to stand, walk, and use your hands to perform tasks. You must be able to lift and move up to 100 pounds, and have specific vision abilities, including close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.
