Job Title: Lead Parish Music Minister - Diocese of Allentown

About the Role
The Diocese of Allentown is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Parish Music Minister to oversee the music ministry at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish in Bangor. As a key member of the parish community, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating the music for various liturgies and events.

Responsibilities
- Develop and train a parish choir, including recruiting and training cantors and vocalists.
- Plan and execute music for up to 3 weekend masses, holy days, school masses, and other scheduled liturgies, incorporating traditional, hymnody, chant, and other styles into our weekend liturgies.
- Coordinate weekly choir rehearsals and recruit/direct choir members and vocalists.
- Play the organ for Sacraments and services during Lent, Advent, Christmas, and Holy Week, as well as other special events.

Requirements
- Strong musical background, preferably with experience in leading choirs and directing musicians.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with volunteers and children.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
