What You Will Gain as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
  • Guidance from an experienced Mentor who will assist you in understanding your responsibilities thoroughly
  • Practical experience in our healthcare resident area complemented by interactive clinical classroom sessions

Your Responsibilities as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
  • Respond promptly to residents' call lights and provide necessary assistance
  • Assist residents with personal care tasks including bathing, grooming, and hygiene
  • Implement prescribed restorative procedures
  • Ensure cleanliness of medical equipment such as oxygen concentrators, feeding pumps, IV poles, and wheelchairs
  • Support the transfer of residents between various locations
  • Help in relocating residents' personal items during room changes
  • Maintain beds and manage linens according to infection control protocols
  • Prepare meal trays for residents who can self-feed
  • Refill water pitchers and distribute meal trays during dining hours
  • Follow infection control measures and standard precautions as per FutureCare's policies
  • Perform various additional duties during training and as assigned

Qualifications for This Opportunity
  • Successful completion of a reading and arithmetic assessment as part of pre-employment screenings
  • Completion of an 8-week training program
  • Basic computer skills proficiency
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Preferred experience in a healthcare environment
  • Availability for on-site training sessions Monday-Thursday from 9am to 3:30pm
  • Ability to interact professionally and courteously with nursing staff, residents, and family members
  • Possessing a kind, patient, and empathetic demeanor
  • Demonstrating a strong work ethic and collaborative spirit
  • Ability to follow instructions and complete assigned tasks diligently
  • Aptitude to lift 50lbs or more and stand for at least 8 hours per day
