Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Ink Technician to join our manufacturing team at Interprint, Inc. in Pittsfield, MA. As an Ink Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and consistency of our products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain production efficiency by accurately matching ink for production orders
- Produce mid-run ink additions to meet customer demands
- Verify weight and contents of inks to maintain quality standards
- Conduct in-process batch color matching to ensure color accuracy
- Document all process events to track production progress
- Approve batches for printing operation to ensure quality control
- Input ink mix formulations into color computer to optimize production
- Provide necessary information to replacement shifts to ensure seamless production
Requirements:
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members
- Ability to lift 40 or more pounds and obtain forklift certification
- Strong mechanical aptitude and basic computer skills
- Completion of vocational training in machine shop or previous work experience in a similar field
