Job Summary:
Touro University New York is seeking a qualified Adjunct Professor to teach a course(s) in the MS Data Analytics program with a concentration in Healthcare Analytics.
Responsibilities:
- Teach program course(s) and develop curriculum to meet the needs of students.
- Prepare and deliver lectures, assignments, assessments, and course materials as needed for the course(s).
- Grade assignments, projects, papers, presentations, and/or exams and provide students with timely and constructive feedback.
- Develop or update the syllabus to reflect the course content and presentation.
- Collaborate with the Director to implement assessment tools into relevant course materials.
Qualifications:
- Doctoral degree in a relevant field.
- At least one year of teaching experience.
- At least three years of professional experience in data analytics or a related field.
Skills:
- Knowledge of data analytics, mathematics, and statistics.
- Experience with data visualization, data mining, and data warehousing.
- Understanding of healthcare sector data analysis and healthcare security and privacy policy (e.g., HIPAA).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to effectively use an LMS such as Blackboard or Canvas.
