About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Modem and RF System Engineer to join our team at Apple. As a key member of our system engineering team, you will be responsible for working on modem systems features and requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with RF and modem teams to develop and implement AGC algorithms and RF models for link-level simulations.
  • Analyze and characterize simulation results to provide mitigation and optimization guidelines.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of communication system theory and signal processing.
  • Stay up-to-date with cellular communication standards, including 5G NR, 4G LTE, 3G, and 2G GSM.
  • Work with automatic gain control (AGC) for LTE/NR and experience with analog and digital beam forming techniques and MIMO systems.
  • Develop and maintain proficiency in Matlab, C/C++, and Python for algorithm development, modeling, and link-level simulation.
  • Participate in chip bring-up and lab testing & characterization.
Requirements
  • BS with 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • Deep knowledge of communication system theory and signal processing.
  • Knowledge of RF systems, RF impairment modeling, and mitigation techniques.
  • Experience with cellular communication standards and automatic gain control (AGC) for LTE/NR.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Matlab, C/C++, and Python.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
