Job Title:

Phlebotomist

About the Role:

Pride Health is seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to support our client's medical facility in Merritt Island, FL. This is a 3-month assignment opportunity, providing a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization.

Schedule and Compensation:

  • Monday-Friday: 6am-3pm
  • Rotating Saturdays: 7am-11am
  • Estimated hourly rate: $17.20-$19.80 (dependent on education, experience, and healthcare credentials)
Responsibilities:
  • Draw quality blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for lab testing, adhering to established practices and procedures.
  • Maintain direct contact with patients, creating an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures and drawing blood samples safely and accurately.
  • Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection from patients of all age groups.
  • Process specimens in a safe, accurate, and professional manner.
  • Enter orders; retrieve and verify patient collection data and special notations using appropriate sources.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 6 months to 1 year of phlebotomy experience necessary.
