Position Overview

This permanent role involves providing a warm welcome and assisting all customers and visitors efficiently and professionally upon their arrival or when they contact the organization via phone. The successful candidate will quickly assess customer needs and connect them with the appropriate staff or management.

The Agnew Group, established in 1931, is a key player in the automotive retail sector, having joined the Sytner Group in 2012, which is the largest motor retailer in the UK. We operate multiple dealerships and various automotive services, employing over 900 individuals and achieving significant annual sales.

Candidate Requirements

Applicants should demonstrate the following qualifications:

  • A minimum of one year of experience in a customer-facing role within a high-end retail, dining, or hospitality environment.
  • Educational qualifications at GCSE level or equivalent, with at least a grade C in both Mathematics and English.
  • Experience with telephony or switchboard operations is a plus.
  • A confident and well-presented demeanor, coupled with outstanding interpersonal skills.
  • A genuine enthusiasm for delivering exceptional service.
  • Previous experience in food or beverage service is advantageous.
  • A flexible approach to working hours and days within a collaborative team environment.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position starts at £9.80 per hour, commensurate with experience. Additional benefits include a discounted vehicle purchase scheme after a qualifying period, preferential rates for servicing and parts, discounts at various retailers, a colleague referral program, and special rates for accommodations and travel.
