Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop new medical devices using finite element analysis (FEA) software.
- Conduct material property research to identify optimal materials for use in new product designs.
- Analyze internal quality control and complaint data to assess product performance issues and drive corrective action efforts.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to product development activities, including drawings, test reports, specifications, and engineering notebooks.
- Support manufacturing processes through process improvement initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field, with 1 year of experience required; Master's preferred.
- Experience in finite element analysis (FEA) software tools such as Ansys, Abaqus, or equivalent.
- Knowledge of mechanical engineering fundamentals, including mechanics of materials, structural analysis, kinematics, thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and stress analysis.
- Familiarity with medical device industry standards such as ISO 10993, ASTM F2992-18, IEC, and UL.
- Understanding of the biomechanics of joint replacement implants and their components.
- Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software.
- Experience conducting biomechanical testing using instruments such as servohydraulic load frames, goniometers, strain gauges, accelerometers, etc.
