Job Summary

The Registered Nursing (RN) role at Sentara Healthcare is responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. As a Vascular Access Nurse IV, you will be part of a team that delivers exceptional care to patients undergoing vascular procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess and admit patients, conducting thorough evaluations to identify individual needs.
  • Round checks and administer medications as prescribed by physicians.
  • Communicate effectively with family members and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care.
  • Provide comprehensive care for patients recovering from moderate sedation and general anesthesia.

Requirements:
  • BSN or MSN preferred; meets and maintains specific clinical area requirements.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within 1 year of hire.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire.
