The Cardiovascular Team at UCHealth Medical Center is dedicated to providing exceptional care to patients requiring advanced surgical interventions. Our expert surgeons collaborate with a skilled team of surgical professionals, including Physician Assistants, First Assistants, Registered Nurses, Certified Surgical Technologists, and Perfusionists. Our facility has successfully conducted over 15,000 heart surgeries, making us a leader in the region.
We maintain two active cardiac surgery rooms simultaneously and support Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) procedures within our state-of-the-art Hybrid suite.

Summary:
Facilitates the safe and efficient execution of surgical procedures.
Responsibilities:
Prepares the surgical environment with necessary drapes, solutions, instruments, equipment, and supplies.
Ensures all equipment and instruments are in optimal working condition. Assists in the preparation, transportation, positioning, and draping of patients.
Passes instruments to the surgeon during operations while maintaining accurate counts of instruments and supplies.
Processes specimens for laboratory analysis.
This role requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to operate with minimal supervision in a fast-paced setting.
Requirements:
Minimum Required Education:
High School diploma or GED or Military training.
Required Licensure/Certification:
State Surgical Assistant or Surgical Technologist registration. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Minimum Experience: 6 months of Surgical Tech experience or completion of an accredited Surgical Tech program.
The compensation for this position is competitive and based on the applicant's relevant experience.
