We are seeking a highly skilled Veterinary Medical Specialist to join our team at VCA Animal Hospitals. As a key member of our veterinary team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support to our doctors and staff.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Collect and process lab samples for diagnostic testing
- Prepare and administer medications as prescribed by our doctors
- Assist with radiology and diagnostic procedures
- Perform venipuncture and catheter placement
- Assist with surgical procedures and provide post-operative care
- Provide dental care and maintenance
- Enter patient data into our electronic medical records system
- Present patient history and signalment to our doctors
- Clean and care for hospitalized patients
- Provide fear-free patient handling and restraint
- Fulfill prescription requests
- Assist with anesthesia procedures
- Place catheters
**Requirements:**
- Experience in urgent care or emergency veterinary medicine
