We're seeking a skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to provide temporary anesthesia care to patients undergoing surgery. As a locum tenens CRNA, you'll have the opportunity to work in a variety of healthcare settings and gain valuable experience in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibilities

Provide anesthesia care to patients undergoing surgery: You'll be responsible for providing high-quality anesthesia care to patients undergoing surgery, including preoperative assessment, intraoperative anesthesia management, and postoperative pain management.

Collaborate with surgical teams: You'll work closely with surgeons, surgical teams, and other healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Monitor patient vital signs: You'll be responsible for monitoring patient vital signs and adjusting anesthetic plans as needed.

Respond to emergencies: You'll be prepared to respond to emergencies and provide critical care interventions as needed.

Maintain accurate medical records: You'll be responsible for maintaining accurate and complete medical records.

Stay current on anesthesia advancements: You'll stay current on the latest advancements in anesthesia practice through continuing education.

Requirements

Clinical expertise: You'll need to have clinical expertise and technical proficiency in administering various anesthesia techniques.

Critical thinking and decision-making skills: You'll need to have strong critical thinking and decision-making skills to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Communication and collaboration skills: You'll need to have excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with surgical teams.

Attention to detail: You'll need to have exceptional attention to detail and the ability to adapt to changing patient conditions.

Work ethic and stamina: You'll need to have a strong work ethic, stamina, and the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Education and Certifications

Master's degree in Nursing: You'll need to have a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP) from an accredited CRNA program.

APRN license: You'll need to have an active and unencumbered advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) license in Indiana.

National certification: You'll need to have national certification as a CRNA by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA).

Experience

At least 1 year of experience: You'll need to have at least one year of experience in a clinical anesthesia setting.

Locum tenens experience: You'll need to have experience working as a locum tenens CRNA, with a strong understanding of the temporary assignment process.
