Job Title: Category Analyst

Constellation Brands is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Category Analyst to join our Sales Support team. As a Category Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting the development of category insights, solutions, and presentations for our customers and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Category Leadership team in the development of category insights, solutions, and presentations, including new item introductions, package expansion/reduction, assortment analysis, promotion effectiveness, seasonality, and post-promotion analysis.
  • Prepare CM analysis and create presentation slides for various meetings.
  • Attend and participate in business planning meetings as necessary.
  • Populate scorecards and generate reports.
  • Seek clarification or understanding as necessary.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of analytical experience (may include an internship) that was focused on food and beverage retailing or merchandising, or sales experience from any industry.
  • Ability to build strong relationships, initiate action, and adjust to change.
  • Proficient in the use of all category management software, concepts, analytical techniques; have an understanding of syndicated data.
  • Knowledge of Blueyonder JDA or Apollo system usage and output, including the application of measures contained within.
  • Average understanding of a variety of system output and application of measures contained within, including Circana IRI or Nielsen syndicated and panel data, Spectra, and retailer loyalty data (e.g. Spire).
  • Strong PC proficiency, including extremely strong PowerPoint and Excel skills.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent job experience in the CPG industry.
  • Ability to travel by plane approximately 20%.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment:
  • Must be able to stand, walk, sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk and hear.
  • Must have close vision, distant vision, ability to adjust focus, peripheral and color vision.
  • Must be able to work in an office environment primarily but periodically required to work in a warehouse environment with variable temperatures and lighting.
  • Should be able to lift 40 lbs. on occasion.

The salary range for this role is:

$71,600.00 - $107,400.00

This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting.
