Radiation Therapist Sr LOM-FT-Day w/Wknds

UCI Health is seeking a highly skilled Dosimetrist Sr to join our Radiation Oncology team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for generating and administering radiation therapy treatment plans and dose calculations necessary for patient treatment, in consultation with radiation oncologists and/or medical physicists.
Responsibilities- Generate and administer radiation therapy treatment plans and dose calculations
- Accurately document use of radioactive materials
- Assist in teaching and training students, residents, physicians, etc. in radiation therapy administration and protocols
- Day Shift with rotating schedule to include weekends and holidays
- Minimum 3 years experience working as a Dosimetrist
- Valid ARRT and CRT for radiation therapy technology or BS in Physics
- Medical dosimetry certification by MDCB
- Current BLS certification
- Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
- Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
- Working knowledge of relevant billing codes as they apply to procedures and activities performed in an academic hospital
- Ability to competently operate modern radiation therapy treatment planning systems/software & multimodality image manipulation software
- Advanced knowledge of record-and-verify system(s) (e.g. ARIA) and experience using a record-and-verify system in an electronic treatment chart environment
- Understanding of medical terminology
- Graduation from an accredited School of Radiologic Technology
- Proficient with VARIAN ECLIPSE treatment planning software and ARIA
- Bilingual skills in English and Spanish and/or Vietnamese
- Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
- Background Check and Live Scan
- Legal Right to Work in the United States
