We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at Jabil. As a key member of our Supply Chain Management team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic procurement plans to optimize overall cost of materials and ensure timely delivery of components.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze and project component purchase prices to accurately reflect inventory value for a financial period in Standard Costing process
- Assist in recruiting and hiring activities to identify top talent for procurement roles
- Provide training and resources to Purchasing staff to ensure they have the necessary skills to execute their job functions
- Optimize overall cost of materials by negotiating with suppliers and identifying cost-saving opportunities
- Support and execute Jabil SCM initiatives and strategies to improve sourcing options and reduce costs
- Monitor and track suppliers' performance on cost, delivery, and quality
- Manage materials that are Business Unit specific and/or strategic
- Develop Supply Chain strategies that meet customer needs and leverage Jabil's capabilities
- Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers to protect Jabil's interests
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
- 4-7 years of experience in Supply Chain Management or related field
- CPM certification preferred
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Advanced PC skills, including training and knowledge of Jabil's software packages
This position is eligible for a short-term incentive based on performance. In addition, Jabil offers benefits to enhance your health, wealth, and resilient self, including medical, dental, and vision insurance plans; 401(k) retirement plan and employee stock purpose plan; and paid time off.
