Position Overview:

The role involves maintaining cleanliness and orderliness within ambulatory care facilities through various tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Dust and polish lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and decorative trim.
  • Thoroughly clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and locker rooms.
  • Perform sweeping and vacuuming of floors.
  • Dust furniture and equipment regularly.
  • Polish metal surfaces to maintain shine.
  • Wash walls, ceilings, and woodwork as needed.
  • Clean windows, door panels, and sills.
  • Empty waste receptacles and transport waste to disposal areas.
  • Restock bathroom supplies to ensure availability.
  • Assist in transporting small equipment or tools between departments.
Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in the janitorial field is advantageous.
  • Experience in medical cleaning is a plus.
  • Successful candidates will undergo a post-offer medical examination, background screening, and drug testing.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Physical Requirements:

This position requires the ability to meet specific physical demands to perform essential job functions. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.

Key physical activities include standing, walking, using hands for various tasks, and reaching. Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of items up to 50 lbs is necessary.

Vision requirements include close, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus, with or without corrective lenses. Exposure to cleaning chemicals may require special clothing or safety equipment.

Work Environment:

Employees may encounter fumes or airborne particles while performing job duties. Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts may occur, and the noise level is typically quiet.
