Nursing Administrator

Mass General Brigham is seeking a highly skilled Nursing Administrator to join our team in Somerville, Massachusetts.
Job Summary:The Nursing Administrator will provide administrative direction and leadership to nursing staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care. This role requires clinical and management expertise, as well as the ability to coordinate inter and intradepartmental activities.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist with directing the operations of the Nursing Department on the off-shift.
- Collaborate with the off-shift nursing resources to ensure quality patient care.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure resource availability for patient care needs on the off-shift.
- Serve as consultant and resource to staff and professional colleagues regarding administrative issues.
- Participate in professional, institutional, and community organizations.
- Work collaboratively with other departments to monitor overall quality standards of the off-shift.
- Apply theoretical and experiential knowledge of nursing to plan for needs of patients in collaboration with Primary Nurse.
- Implement, review, and revise patient care policies and nursing standards to ensure compliance of the nursing staff.
- Direct operations by providing guidance to the nursing, medical, and support staff on the off-shift.
- Graduate of an approved School of Nursing, BSN, and Master's Degree in Nursing or related field required.
- Current licensure in Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- Five years of clinical nursing experience required.
- Current nurse administrator experience.
- Leadership experience preferred.
- Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills in dealing with patients and families, nursing staff, and other disciplines in all situations encountered.
- Must have demonstrated ability in management of diverse activities associated with operating the Nursing Department.
- Must possess solid clinical skills in order to provide direction, information, and explanation to all levels of hospital management and staff.
