Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Security Officer I to join our team at Kohler Lodge. As a Security Officer I, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our guests, employees, and assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Protect and safeguard personnel, customers, visitors, and assets by monitoring and authorizing entrance and departure of associates, visitors, and other persons.
  • Responsible for greeting visitors in person and providing assistance or referring to an appropriate company representative.
  • Operate a multi-channel radio with multiple frequencies and observe and report all suspicious activity or policy violations.
  • Manage access control requirements to ensure the highest level of security in an efficient manner.
  • Accurately understand various transmissions and transcribe information from one source to another in a timely manner.
  • Deter crime by providing a general security presence and develop an operating knowledge of Kohler security and fire systems.
  • Assist with special assignments during periods of emergency or as requested by management and provide transportation services with company vehicles as needed.
  • Responsible for achieving and maintaining required certification in CPR, First Aid, fire extinguisher, etc.
  • Act as a security and safety resource to other departments and local emergency services as dictated.
Requirements
  • High School education: two-year college degree preferred (Police Science, Criminal Justice, Police Administration or Liberal Arts).
  • Law enforcement, industrial security, or Military Police experience preferred.
  • Valid Wisconsin driver's license.
  • Ability to transport emergency medical equipment, such as medical bags and oxygen equipment, weighing approximately 50 pounds, from a vehicle to the scene of the emergency and appropriately utilize equipment at the scene.
  • Ability to ascend and descend fixed or portable ladders to access roof and other areas in the event of an emergency.
  • Ability to be certified and correctly perform CPR, unassisted, as defined by the American Heart Association and operate an automatic external defibrillator.
  • Ability to provide verbal instructions in an emergency in a clear and intelligible manner.
  • Ability to legally operate a passenger automobile or light truck.
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time, as necessary.
