The salary for this position is estimated at $12.00 per hour, reflecting the bakery's commitment to fair compensation.

The Pastry Artisan ensures that high-quality cakes are consistently produced, meeting production demands and adhering to strict proprietary recipes and food safety standards. Key responsibilities include:

• Following NbC proprietary recipes with precision and achieving productivity goals.
• Effectively utilizing commercial-grade mixers and ovens, and other tools to bake cakes.
• Preparing raw ingredients and equipment for baking, placing cake pans into hot ovens and monitoring the baking process.
• Adhering to proper packaging, labeling, and storage of baked cakes, as well as product rotation standards.
• Assisting the Bakery Manager in developing a cake production plan and monitoring inventory of baking supplies.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• Ability to understand written and oral directions, interpret instructional documents, and apply knowledge to perform job responsibilities.
• Basic understanding of units of measurement used in the US.
• Physical stamina to perform repetitious tasks, lift items of moderate to heavy weight (up to 50 pounds), and stand for extended periods.
• Capacity to operate commercial-grade ovens and other bakery equipment.
• Meticulous attention to detail and ability to work on a tight, fast-paced production schedule.
