Nurse Coordinator for Correctional Healthcare

NaphCare is seeking an experienced Charge Registered Nurse to join our team at the Mobile County Metro Jail in Mobile, AL. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for coordinating and implementing the nursing service program within the facility.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate daily clinical rounds and take and document patient history and vital signs
  • Assist with daily triage/sick call, minor medical/surgical procedures, and patient assessments
  • Assist with examinations and/or treatments, and evaluate the quality and effectiveness of clinical services
  • Assist with orientation and training activities of clinical personnel, and observe and review documentation, orders, and patient care plans
  • Respond to and initiate care for medical emergencies within the facility

Qualifications:

  • Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in AL
  • Valid CPR card
  • Minimum of 3-5 years clinical experience in a healthcare setting, with correctional healthcare experience preferred
