Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Full Time Store Supervisor to join our team at TJ Maxx. As a Store Supervisor, you will be responsible for executing receiving and merchandising standards while ensuring Associates are processing efficiently and effectively, and working as a team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Experience: Creates a positive internal and external customer experience by engaging and interacting with all customers, and maintaining a clean and organized store.
  • Merchandising and Processing: Orchestrates truck delivery, prioritizing the processing of merchandise onto the sales floor, and ensures merchandise is properly tagged, hung, secured, and coded.
  • Team Management: Trains and mentors Associates on established merchandising and processing principles, monitors productivity of team and coaches as necessary, and ensures Associates complete tasks and activities according to store plan.
  • Store Operations: Maintains and upholds merchandising philosophy and signage standards, ensures compliance with recycling and hazardous waste programs, and promotes safety awareness and maintains a safe environment.
  • Communication: Communicates accurately and effectively with management and Associates when setting and addressing priorities, and provides progress updates.
Requirements
  • Experience: 1 year retail and 6 months of leadership experience.
  • Skills: Superior communication and organizational skills with attention to detail, capable of multi-tasking, and able to respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations.
  • Physical Demands: Able to lift heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation.
