Salary: This is a full-time salary position with amazing benefits and a competitive estimated annual salary range of $80,000-$120,000 based on location and experience.

Job Description:

We are seeking an exceptional General Manager to lead our team at the El Monte Sagrado in Taos, NM. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for maintaining a high level of positive and professional approach with employees, coworkers, and guests.

  • Establish a revenue strategy to support Heritage brand positioning in the local market, verifying demand forecasting and sound revenue practices to maximize yield.
  • Identify ways to grow occupancy, RevPAR, and market share by researching competitor strategies, controlling labor and capital expenses.
  • Set goals for performance aligned with Heritage's plans and vision, driving morale positively and being present and visible to guests and team members.
  • Assign, train, mentor, and direct staff to deliver exceptional guest experiences and foster an engaged and valued workforce.
  • Review occupancy and event levels, staff reporting team members accordingly, and manage day-to-day operations of Housekeeping, Facilities, Banquets, Food & Beverage, and Front Desk.
  • Use critical thinking to handle challenging situations and resolve issues, achieving maximum revenue and managing departmental expenses within budget.
  • Lead operational decisions on staffing, process, procedures, and sourcing, maintaining effective communications between hotel departments.
  • Ensure property compliance with legal, safety, operations, labor, and Heritage brand product and service standards.

 

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of hospitality software and MS Office required.
  • Minimum 5 years or equivalent combination of education and experience in hotel management or hospitality required.
  • Luxury brand experience preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven leadership experience in a hotel setting, with a passion for delivering exceptional guest service.
  • Ability and willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and late nights.
  • Ability to work on your feet for eight hours or more, and lift/push/reach for/carry 30+ pounds occasionally.
