Electrical Engineer Job Description

The Boring Company is revolutionizing transportation by creating an underground network of tunnels. As an Electrical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing control systems that increase tunneling speed and decrease costs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop control systems for electrical, mechanical, and fluid power systems
  • Troubleshoot and solve complex problems with tunnel boring machines and vehicles
  • Collaborate with engineers and technicians to integrate electrical systems with mechanical structures and software packages
  • Oversee installations and ensure conformance to design and specifications
  • Interface with local utilities and contractors for electrical service upgrades and installs
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in electrical engineering, controls engineering, or a related field
  • Experience designing, developing, and integrating control and automation systems
  • Strong proficiency in troubleshooting and problem-solving
