As a Floating Banker at Banner Bank, you will provide backup teller/banker coverage and support at various retail branch locations within a specific geographic region. You will be the face of the Bank, delivering exceptional experiences for clients while processing transactions accurately and efficiently. Daily travel between branches is required.

- Process transactions swiftly and accurately, adhering to established policies and procedures, while ensuring an excellent client experience and representing the Bank.
- Assist clients in achieving their financial objectives by actively referring Bank products and services, and recommending specialist services when necessary.
- Work independently or as part of a team, consistently meeting deadlines and quality standards.
- Maintain high levels of personal reliability, punctuality, and collaboration.
- Sell Bank products and services through in-person and telephone interactions, meeting minimum referral targets set by your Manager.
- Be responsible for opening new accounts using the Banner Way sales process.
- Provide backup teller coverage or back-up personal banker coverage and assistance at any retail branch location within a specific geographic region, with varying work locations daily.
- Comply with security requirements, government regulations, and internal policies and procedures.
This position requires:
Education & CertificationsA high school diploma or equivalent is required; however, equivalent combinations of education and experience may also be considered.
Experience & TravelYou should possess at least two years of experience as a teller, including sales experience with established goals. Local travel up to 50% is required.
Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesStrong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential. Basic understanding of Windows-based applications and calculators is required. Proficiency in basic math, negotiation, problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills is expected. Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, along with customer service skills, are necessary.
Compensation & BenefitsThe targeted starting compensation range for this role, based on experience, is $18+ per hour plus $1.50 premium on top of base pay. Incentive and commission compensation may be awarded for eligible positions. Comprehensive benefits include medical, dental, vision, LTD, STD, life insurance, paid vacation time, sick time, personal days, paid volunteer time, and 11 company-paid holidays. A 401(k) plan with up to 4% match and immediate vesting is also available, along with tuition reimbursement up to $5,250 annually (minimum service requirement).
