Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Truck Driver/Warehouse Specialist to join our team at The Salvation Army USA Central Territory. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of donations and supplies to our Corps Community Centers and other locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive routes as assigned, picking up donations at designated locations and delivering them to our Corps Community Centers and other locations.
  • Load and unload donations in a safe and secure manner, minimizing damage and breakage.
  • Issue donor receipts for donated items and maintain accurate records of donations received.
  • Perform routine truck maintenance to ensure vehicles run safely and efficiently.
  • Oversee daily warehouse operations and activities, including receiving and organizing donations, maintaining inventory, and ordering supplies as needed.
  • Assist with loading and transporting supplies to other Salvation Army Corps Community Centers, including disaster scenes throughout the division.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED and a minimum of 2 years of commercial driving experience.
  • Current or ability to obtain a valid MN Class B license and a good driving record.
  • Ability to work safely and efficiently, with a focus on customer service and teamwork.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • OSHA certification or eligibility to drive a forklift.
  • Food Service Certification courses within 90 days of hire.
  • Experience working in a warehouse or logistics environment.
