Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Assembly Process Engineer to develop new assembly processes and tooling, oversee equipment startup, and create process layouts that maximize output and minimize material handling.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing and process improvement, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Experience in the automotive industry is preferred, but not mandatory.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop new assembly processes and tooling
  • Oversee equipment startup for new programs
  • Create process layouts that maximize output and minimize material handling
  • Supervise trial builds and document information (cycle time, output, issues, etc.)
  • Responsible for trial part quality and robot programming
  • Lead and participate in cost reduction activities such as cycle time reductions, operator reductions, and material flow improvements
  • Interaction with customers (internal/external) to resolve technical/quality issues and implement corrective actions
