Position Summary:
The Senior Project Engineering Specialist will play a crucial role in the design, analysis, and testing of GE Aerospace products. This includes responsibilities related to new product development, addressing field issues, conducting research, and providing production support. The focus will be on pneumatic valves and linear actuators utilized in aerospace applications.

Responsibilities:
- Serve as a subject matter expert in pneumatic, hydraulic, or fuel-actuated valves.
- Implement design, analysis, or evaluation for assigned projects, adhering to engineering principles and business standards.
- Lead initiatives in new product development and technology maturation, guiding technical team members.
- Possess a comprehensive understanding of key business drivers and how they influence project outcomes.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline from an accredited institution (or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience).
- At least 3 years of experience with pneumatic, hydraulic, and/or fuel-actuated valves is required.
- Preferred: 8+ years of experience in the field, familiarity with aviation actuators, fans, and blowers, and proficiency in CAD software, particularly SolidWorks and/or NX.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to document, plan, and execute programs effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with a proven ability to analyze and resolve complex issues.
- Knowledge of the tollgate process and aviation regulations (FAR 25 and FAR 33 certifications) is advantageous.
- Familiarity with AS9100 and LEAN methodologies is preferred.

This position requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. Final offers will be contingent upon obtaining authorization for access from the U.S. Government.
