Direct Support Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Direct Support Professional to join our Individual Focus team at Partnerships in Community Living. As a DSP-IF, you will provide specialized supports to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, promoting their independence and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities- Provide person-centered care and support to individuals with I/DD, focusing on their unique needs and goals.
- Model positive guidance and teach responsibility, self-control, and decision-making skills.
- Build and maintain relationships with individuals, families, and community members, promoting a sense of belonging and connection.
- Assist with daily living tasks, such as personal care and medication management, as needed.
- Attend counseling and psychiatry appointments, providing support and follow-up as required.
- Work collaboratively with the Individual Focus team to develop and implement comprehensive support plans.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field preferred.
- Valid driver's license and insurable driving record.
- Ability to lift 25 pounds or more, as needed.
- Certification in Oregon Intervention System (OIS) and CPR/First Aid required.
- Pass a state/federal background check and pre-employment drug screen.
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn new software.
