About the Role

The Relief Pharmacist is a key member of the Tulane University Campus Health team, dedicated to supporting and promoting student health and wellbeing as a core institutional value through a multidisciplinary, comprehensive approach.

Responsibilities
  • Dispense medication and provide patient counseling, upholding pharmaceutical standards and operations of the Campus Health Pharmacy.
  • Contribute to the ongoing integrity of pharmacy and clinic operations at the Uptown Health Center, providing leadership and supervision of pharmacy staff.
  • Collaborate with the Pharmacist-In-Charge to ensure the legal operation of the Pharmacy, adhering to state and federal regulations.
  • Direct professional pharmacists, technicians, students, and support personnel in completing assignments, such as prescription entry, interpretation and review, drug utilization review, prescriber calls, issue resolution, and filling prescriptions.
  • Work closely with nurses and providers to maintain a consistently high standard of care, collaborating with the Campus Health clinical staff.

Requirements
  • Louisiana Pharmacist License in good standing.
  • Over 2 years of retail pharmacist experience.
  • Certified Immunizer.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with third-party billing and insurance.
  • 3 years of retail pharmacy experience.
  • Experience in a college health setting.
  • Experience with supervising pharmacy staff or students.
  • Experience with managing pharmacy software.
