Position Overview

The Microsoft 365 Engineer will be tasked with the architecture and ongoing maintenance of enterprise-level cloud productivity platforms, which encompass voice systems, the Microsoft 365 productivity suite, and various other cloud-based software solutions.

This position emphasizes proactive management, configuration, and troubleshooting of Microsoft 365 services across all pertinent modules to guarantee smooth user experiences and peak performance:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Continuous Improvement: Remain updated on Microsoft 365 enhancements, new features, and updates. Propose and implement enhancements to maximize the effectiveness of Microsoft 365 services.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of cloud-based solutions to fulfill business requirements.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 migrations, Intune, MDM, Autopilot, and Teams Telephony.
  • Maintain documentation, technical diagrams, and equipment configurations for accurate records of systems design and recovery.
  • Implement strategic application and security designs while adhering to best practices.
  • Ensure upkeep of the current environment and lifecycle management.
  • Prepare technical designs, project plans, schedules, resource allocations, and financial estimates.
  • Engage in large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Develop roadmaps and identify emerging technologies to meet business needs.
  • Ensure asset inventory and technical diagrams are created and maintained.
  • Research modern technologies and stay informed on advancements in the field.
  • Oversee implementations, including schedule setting and change management.
  • Recommend ongoing improvements, process enhancements, and automation to drive efficiencies.
  • Research, develop, and implement new technologies and methodologies.
  • Resolve Level 2 and Level 3 incidents and requests.
  • Align proposed technical solutions with IT strategy and objectives.
  • Design recovery and resiliency solutions, participating in disaster recovery exercises.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5+ years of experience with Microsoft 365 services.
  • Advanced expertise in Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, and Exchange Online.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and related infrastructure technologies.
  • Proficient scripting/automation skills, particularly in PowerShell.
  • Experience managing projects and effectively communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in vendor management and technology evaluation processes.
  • Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Solid analytical skills, attention to detail, and fact-based decision-making abilities.
  • Self-aware with a commitment to professional and technical skill development.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a complex, fast-paced, and sometimes ambiguous environment.
  • Ability to maintain high productivity levels in a dynamic team environment while managing multiple competing priorities.
  • Willingness to work on-call or during non-standard business hours as necessary.
  • Industry certifications preferred (Microsoft, VMware).
  • ITIL certification or working knowledge is advantageous.
