Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and effectively resolve issues with a wide range of construction equipment, including asphalt paving machines and heavy machinery.
  • Construct and install mechanical parts and assemblies according to provided specifications.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and other components to identify operational problems.
  • Perform repairs with a focus on ensuring optimal reliability and functionality.
  • Troubleshoot reported issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Carry out comprehensive maintenance procedures on machinery, equipment, and systems.
  • Clean, lubricate, and inspect machinery components regularly.
  • Refill fluids and ensure proper operation of engines and machinery.
  • Provide guidance to operators on proper maintenance practices and preventive measures.
  • Assist with additional tasks as assigned, such as repairing hydraulic systems or painting vehicles.
  • Maintain accurate work logs and report any identified issues.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working as a Mechanic in a construction environment.
  • In-depth understanding of construction equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and other systems commonly found in heavy machinery.
  • Proficiency in using various hand tools, precision measuring instruments, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, technical manuals, and other relevant documentation.
  • Strong commitment to adhering to all safety regulations and protocols.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or apprenticeship certification is highly preferred.
  • A valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is a significant advantage.
