Indiana University Health Arnett is seeking a dedicated Medical Physicist to contribute to our established Radiation Oncology practice in Lafayette, Indiana.
Position Overview:
- Full-Time role focused on outpatient services.
- Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, with no on-call duties; however, occasional weekend work may be required for quality assurance tasks.
- Remote work flexibility is available one day per week.
- Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, therapists, Advanced Practice Providers, and clinical staff is essential.
- The practice holds ACR accreditation, ensuring high standards of care.
- We foster a positive team culture that values excellence in patient care.
Equipment and Technology:
Our facility is equipped with advanced technology, including GE 4D CT with RGSC, Bravos HDR (SAVI, GYN, skin applicators), Eclipse/ARIA, RadCalc, and 3D-printed bolus. We also utilize SNC Machine, SRS Mapcheck, and SNC Dynamic Platform, along with two TrueBeams featuring HyperArc, 4D CBCT, iCBCT, and Identify. One TrueBeam is additionally equipped with Calypso technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive physics services for Radiation Therapy, including calibration, dosimetry, treatment planning, quality assurance, and research initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Board certification by the American Board of Radiology in Therapeutic Radiological Physics is required; eligibility for certification may be considered.
- Indiana State Licensure as a Physicist in Radiation Oncology is necessary; candidates should refer to the ISDH website for licensing details.
- A Master's or PhD in medical physics, physics, radiation biology, or a related field is required, or a combination of education and significant relevant experience in radiation therapy.
- Strong organizational skills are essential.
- Experience with various computer systems and software applications is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are vital for effective interaction with patients and staff.
- Knowledge of standard safety precautions and environmental protection standards is required.
