About This Role

We are seeking a skilled Behavioral Intervention Specialist to join our team at Rowland Unified School District. As a member of our support staff, you will play a vital role in helping students with behavioral challenges reach their full potential.

Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support to students with severe behavioral needs, focusing on developing positive coping mechanisms and improving academic performance.
  • Work collaboratively with certificated teachers, school administrators, and other support staff to create comprehensive plans for student success.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress, including behavior charts and incident reports.
  • Develop and implement strategies to reduce student misbehavior and promote a safe learning environment.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance knowledge and skills in areas such as crisis prevention, de-escalation techniques, and trauma-informed care.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or higher preferred.
  • Two years of experience working with students with behavioral challenges, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Valid California Driver's License and good driving record required.
  • First Aid and CPR certification necessary.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive student information.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $21.24 - $25.90 per hour, depending on experience. Additionally, we provide a range of benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as retirement plan options and paid time off.
