Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct both minor and major surgical procedures
- Address prevention, diagnosis, and management of obstetric and gynecological conditions
- Oversee and mentor medical personnel, including nurses and nurse practitioners
- Facilitate the integration of technology to improve care quality and patient satisfaction
- Perform patient assessments, gather medical histories, and analyze diagnostic results
- Participate in quality improvement efforts and collaborate with colleagues for ongoing enhancement
- No in-house call duties; No deliveries required
- Primarily an outpatient maternal-fetal medicine role with occasional inpatient consultations
- Work standard 8-hour shifts from Monday to Friday with a skilled clinical team
- Conduct high-volume ultrasound procedures, including fetal echocardiograms, first-trimester screenings, and fetal anatomical surveys; experience with amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling is a plus
- Interpret antenatal evaluations, including non-stress tests and biophysical profiles
Qualifications:
- Board certification in General Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Board Certified or Eligible in Maternal-Fetal Medicine
- Preferred prior experience in a Maternal-Fetal Medicine position
- Active Medical License in Maryland, Virginia, or DC is strongly preferred
