Job Title: Echocardiography Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Echocardiography Specialist to join our team at Maryland Oncology Hematology. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the advancement of cancer treatment.

Job Summary:

The Echocardiography Specialist will be responsible for performing cardiac ultrasound examinations on patients, collaborating with physicians and supervisors on technical issues, and maintaining the highest standards of equipment cleanliness and performance. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and compassionate environment, dedicated to providing the most advanced cancer care available.

Responsibilities:
  • Accurately obtain 2D, Doppler, spectral, and measurements under the direction of the physician in charge.
  • Use cognitive sonographic skills to identify and record appropriate anatomical, pathological, and diagnostic images.
  • Maintain the equipment to the highest standard of cleanliness and coordinate with the manufacturer regarding any service issues.
  • Complete necessary documentation, charge capture, logs, and records.
  • Attend regularly scheduled QA meetings for the echocardiography laboratory.
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Completion of a cardiac ultrasound program.
  • American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)/Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) certification or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)/Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) certification required.
  • Two to five years of work experience in echocardiography required.
  • Current CPR certification required.

Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
