POSITION SUMMARY:

The Reservations Agent plays a crucial role in managing guest reservations with professionalism and efficiency. This position involves quoting competitive rates to optimize revenue while adhering to the standards set by Aimbridge Hospitality. Participation in monthly Rooms Merchandising meetings is also a key responsibility.

Incentives:

Eligible for a $500 incentive payout upon successful completion of the initial 90 days in this role.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Engage with guests and colleagues in a warm, service-oriented manner.
• Maintain consistent attendance in line with hotel standards, adapting to the needs of the operation.
• Exhibit high standards of personal grooming and uniform compliance.
• Adhere to hotel regulations to promote safe and efficient operations.
• Provide prompt and courteous responses to all incoming calls.
• Address guest inquiries regarding hotel services, amenities, and operational hours.
• Process room reservations with a focus on maximizing revenue and average rates.
• Collaborate closely with the Sales Department on group bookings.
• Keep Central Reservations updated on rates and availability, ensuring accurate communication with operational staff.
• Maintain organized files and reports related to reservations.
• Handle special reservations, including VIP bookings and promotional packages.
• Compile necessary information for Rooms Merchandising meetings.
• Efficiently manage group bookings in accordance with hotel guidelines.
• Contribute insights during Rooms Merchandising meetings to identify revenue opportunities.
• Exhibit a friendly and helpful demeanor towards guests and team members at all times.
• Complete required forecasts as directed by management.
• Monitor daily sales activities and inform management of occupancy trends and potential issues.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
• Attend meetings as required to stay informed and engaged.
• Assist at the front desk as needed, performing all Guest Services Agent duties.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Relevant college coursework is advantageous.
• Prior experience in a hotel or related field is essential.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to communicate information clearly and effectively.
• Quickly assess and choose among alternative actions in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrate composure in high-pressure situations.
• Exhibit strong listening skills to understand and address guest and colleague concerns.
• Proficient in handling financial data and basic arithmetic.
• Maintain professionalism and objectivity under stress.
