Shift: Daytime

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure personal safety and actively participate in all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) initiatives at the facility, adhering to all relevant policies and regulations.
  • Conduct painting and structural repairs on masonry, woodwork, and furnishings within the buildings.
  • Perform grounds maintenance tasks, including lawn mowing, hedge trimming, weed removal, and leaf and refuse disposal.
  • Provide assistance to various departments as needed, including machine upkeep, electrical maintenance, janitorial tasks, preventive maintenance, welding, furniture relocation, and supply handling.
  • Order necessary tools, equipment, and materials.
  • Inspect completed tasks to ensure compliance with blueprints, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Adjust work procedures to align with production timelines.
  • Propose improvements in working conditions and equipment usage to enhance work efficiency.
  • Balance individual and team responsibilities effectively.
  • Seek opportunities to enhance quality and meet productivity benchmarks, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
  • Adhere to safety and security protocols, reporting any unsafe conditions.
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical institution; or two years of relevant experience and/or training; or a combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting safety regulations, operating instructions, and procedural manuals, with the ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Effective communication skills, capable of presenting information to groups of customers or employees.
  • Adept at solving practical problems and navigating various concrete variables in situations with limited standardization.
  • Ability to interpret diverse instructions provided in written, oral, diagrammatic, or scheduled formats.
  • Physical capability to frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, with requirements to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and communicate effectively.
