The Center for Supportive Schools is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Student Engagement Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our Community Schools team, you will play a critical role in building and maintaining relationships with administration, faculty, staff, and students to enhance student achievement.
Key Responsibilities- Establish and nurture connections with stakeholders to promote student success
- Conduct comprehensive needs assessments and develop strategies to address student needs
- Schedule meetings with students to provide support for attendance and academic progress
- Develop and execute continuous strategies to gather input from teachers, staff, and families to identify ongoing needs for enhancing student success
- Coordinate and lead technical assistance sessions with faculty and staff to strategize program implementations and troubleshoot challenges
- Aid in establishing and managing procedures that promote referrals to school programs and services
- Recognize the requirements of students with chronic absenteeism and contribute to intervention implementation
- Gather and oversee program implementation data and student information for each partnership and initiative
We are seeking a candidate with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in education or a related field. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience working in public schools, exceptional problem-solving and planning skills, and a strong entrepreneurial attitude. Multilingual skills are preferred but not required.
Work Environment and Physical RequirementsThe Student Engagement Coordinator will work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects and building relationships with stakeholders. The position requires prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computer, as well as the ability to lift and move boxes weighing up to 15 pounds.Compensation and Benefits
