Parkland Health and Hospital System (PHHS) is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for performing nuclear medicine processes according to patient needs, Parkland procedures, and other regulatory agency standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform nuclear medicine processes, including imaging and therapeutic treatments
  • Operate Gamma cameras, including SPECT/CT and PET/CT scanners, nuclear medicine computers, and Cardiac Stress equipment
  • Administer intramuscular and intravenous injections and start intravenous lines
  • Perform quality control measures on nuclear medicine equipment and devices
  • Document all operations of the laboratory, including receipt and disposition of radioactive materials, instrument and procedural quality control data, patient procedures, and medical records

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited college program in Nuclear Medicine Technology, Science, or other allied health care field
  • Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) certification from Texas Medical Board
  • Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in Nuclear Medicine (N) or CNMT
  • Healthcare Provider CPR course completion card or obtain certification during initial orientation at Parkland

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Basic knowledge of EKG to perform cardiac studies
  • Thorough working knowledge of the field of nuclear medicine technology and related sciences
