ROLE SUMMARY:

The Full Charge Bookkeeper will collaborate closely with the Office Manager to ensure seamless business operations, actively supporting various business development initiatives, addressing practical challenges in non-standardized situations, and identifying as well as implementing necessary processes or systems to achieve desired outcomes.

The responsibilities are diverse and include essential daily, weekly, and monthly accounting tasks such as accounts receivable, accounts payable, journal entries, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and assisting with human resources compliance and inventory management.

In terms of customer and distributor support, duties encompass responding to inquiries, managing mail and parcels, maintaining accurate and confidential records, and ensuring compliance with established company procedures throughout account management processes.

This position presents immediate challenges. It necessitates exceptional communication skills, the ability to prioritize and organize tasks effectively, meticulous attention to detail, and a willingness to learn and adapt. Professionalism and maturity in business dealings are essential, as plans may shift unexpectedly.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: This role requires spending extended periods seated while utilizing office equipment such as computers and telephones, along with the ability to transition between sitting and standing. Physical dexterity is necessary for tasks related to inventory management, packing, shipping, and receiving, which may include:

  • Performing repetitive tasks regularly.
  • Manipulating objects with hands and fingers.
  • Maintaining steady hand positions while moving arms.
  • Observing details of nearby objects.
  • Communicating clearly for effective understanding.
  • Understanding spoken communication from others.
  • Bending, stretching, and twisting to manage files and items.
  • Occasionally lifting light objects (5-10 pounds).

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Word; advanced Excel skills required).
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant bookkeeping experience in a fast-paced office environment, or an Associate degree in Accounting.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks, CRM, and/or ERP software, or the ability to quickly learn advanced systems.
  • Background checks will be conducted; satisfactory results are mandatory.
  • Occasional travel may be required; a valid driver's license and reliable transportation are necessary.
  • Adherence to all company policies and industry standards is expected.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with accounting software such as Peachtree or Sage is advantageous.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, accounting, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
