Job Summary

Ballston Spa National Bank (BSNB) is seeking an experienced Core Banking System Product Owner to support our continued growth. As a key member of our IT team, you will oversee the core banking system administration and development from start to finish, ensuring it meets the needs and preferences of BSNB departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define a vision for the Core Banking product while maintaining cohesion throughout the process, aligning with vendor roadmaps and BSNB's strategic plan.
  • Create a product road map based on this vision.
  • Oversee and manage system updates for the Core Banking product, coordinating with other members of IT and impacted departments.
  • Review and analyze system updates for the Core Banking product, collaborating with team leaders to determine applicability and develop a prioritized backlog for eventual implementation.
  • Manage the product backlog and prioritize tasks based on changing requirements.
  • Oversee all stages of technical development for product creation, including design and development.
  • Analyze new FIS system offerings, evaluate, and make recommendations for implementation.
Requirements
  • Minimum of five years' relevant bank technology experience, with prior FIS Horizon or comparable core banking system preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of Scrum and Agile Software Development methodology required.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize, proficiency in the use of analytic tools, and the ability to work with large teams, including product development team members and management team members.
  • Associate's degree in Information Technology or related field required.
