Position Summary

We are currently seeking a Project Engineer (EIT/EI) focused on Utilities or Land Development projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate under the guidance of a licensed Professional Engineer as part of a team to design and produce technical reports, analyses, and construction documentation.
  • Develop precise presentations, designs, details, and construction documents.
  • Prepare permit applications and submission packages for relevant regulatory agencies.
  • Engage with clients, subconsultants, permitting authorities, utility providers, contractors, and other stakeholders involved in the project.
  • Conduct site investigations and construction observations, which may require periodic travel.
  • Draft specifications, review shop drawings, conduct field observations, and prepare inspection reports as part of construction administration duties.
  • Work collaboratively with other engineers, architects, project managers, and business development teams within the firm.
  • Research and apply relevant codes and client specifications.
  • Utilize CPH and client standards and templates effectively.
  • Review documents prepared by others and ensure project quality control.
  • Establish and maintain project scope, schedules, and budgets.
  • Manage client relationships and national account programs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an ABET accredited institution.
  • EI/EIT Certification or a commitment to obtain it within one year of employment.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook; AutoCAD experience is advantageous.
  • Strong critical thinking skills and sound independent judgment.
  • Education or experience in stormwater management, water distribution, and sanitary sewer collection system design.
  • Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Excellent communication, writing, and organizational skills.
  • Capable of managing multiple projects while adhering to schedules and budgets.
  • Flexible work schedule to meet project deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented, quality-focused, reliable, and self-motivated.
  • Possess a valid state-issued driver's license with a clean driving record.
