Position Summary
We are currently seeking a Project Engineer (EIT/EI) focused on Utilities or Land Development projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate under the guidance of a licensed Professional Engineer as part of a team to design and produce technical reports, analyses, and construction documentation.
- Develop precise presentations, designs, details, and construction documents.
- Prepare permit applications and submission packages for relevant regulatory agencies.
- Engage with clients, subconsultants, permitting authorities, utility providers, contractors, and other stakeholders involved in the project.
- Conduct site investigations and construction observations, which may require periodic travel.
- Draft specifications, review shop drawings, conduct field observations, and prepare inspection reports as part of construction administration duties.
- Work collaboratively with other engineers, architects, project managers, and business development teams within the firm.
- Research and apply relevant codes and client specifications.
- Utilize CPH and client standards and templates effectively.
- Review documents prepared by others and ensure project quality control.
- Establish and maintain project scope, schedules, and budgets.
- Manage client relationships and national account programs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an ABET accredited institution.
- EI/EIT Certification or a commitment to obtain it within one year of employment.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook; AutoCAD experience is advantageous.
- Strong critical thinking skills and sound independent judgment.
- Education or experience in stormwater management, water distribution, and sanitary sewer collection system design.
- Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Excellent communication, writing, and organizational skills.
- Capable of managing multiple projects while adhering to schedules and budgets.
- Flexible work schedule to meet project deadlines.
- Detail-oriented, quality-focused, reliable, and self-motivated.
- Possess a valid state-issued driver's license with a clean driving record.
