Physical Therapist

CareStaff Partners is partnering with a well-respected School District in Puyallup, WA to fill a contract Physical Therapist position. We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate Physical Therapist to join our team.
Job Details- Start Date: September 2024
- Hours: Full-Time (37.5 hours per week)
- Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
- Pay Package: $48-51 per hour, based on experience
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Reviewing physicians' referrals and patients' conditions to determine physical therapy treatment required
- Testing and measuring patients' strength, motor development, sensory perception, functional capacity, and recording findings to develop or revise treatment programs
- Planning and preparing written treatment programs based on evaluation of patient data
- Administering manual exercises to improve and maintain function
- Instructing, motivating, and assisting patients to perform various physical activities and in the use of assistive and supportive devices
- Evaluating the effects of treatment at various stages and adjusting treatments to achieve maximum benefit
- Recording treatment, response, and progress in patients' charts or entering information into computers
- Instructing patients and families in treatment procedures to be continued at home
- Evaluating, fitting, and adjusting prosthetic and orthotic devices or recommending modifications to orthotics
- Consulting with other members of the rehabilitation team to select activity programs consistent with patients' needs and capabilities
- Conferring with physicians and other practitioners to obtain additional patient information, suggest revisions in treatment programs, and integrate physical therapy treatment with other aspects of patients' healthcare
- Orienting, instructing, and directing work activities of assistants, aids, and students
- Planning and conducting lectures and training programs on physical therapy and related topics for medical staff, students, and community groups
The successful candidate will also be responsible for:
- Meeting with therapy assistants to discuss assigned therapy duties as needed
