Adjunct Faculty Position

InsideHigherEd is seeking a qualified Adjunct Faculty member to teach English as a Second Language (ESL) courses at Hudson County Community College. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in TESOL, Applied Linguistics, or a closely related field, and a proven ability to interact with a culturally diverse population. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching ESL classes in writing, grammar, reading, and academic discussion, and will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of educators. The College is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and the successful candidate will be expected to contribute to this mission. The position is part-time, and the successful candidate will be required to teach a variety of courses, including those for bilingual students. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching English for Academic Purposes to adults, and will be able to effectively communicate with students from diverse backgrounds. **Responsibilities:**

* Teach ESL classes in writing, grammar, reading, and academic discussion
* Develop and implement curriculum that meets the needs of diverse learners

* Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills

**Requirements:**

* Master's degree in TESOL, Applied Linguistics, or a closely related field
* 2 years of experience teaching English for Academic Purposes to adults
* Demonstrated ability to interact with a culturally diverse population
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills

**Preferred Qualifications:**

* Bilingual in Spanish and English
* Experience teaching in a community college setting
