Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Frame Shop Manager to lead our custom framing team at Michaels Inc. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, customer service, and team management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and coach a team of framers to achieve sales and customer satisfaction goals.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to drive custom framing sales and revenue growth.
  • Assist customers in creating memorable framing solutions for their art and other items.
  • Manage and execute inventory management processes to ensure efficient stock levels and minimize waste.
  • Develop and coach team members' selling behaviors and provide feedback for improvement.
  • Partner with Store Manager to lead and manage adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs.
  • Manage and execute shrink and safety programs to maintain a safe and secure work environment.
  • Assist with interviewing, onboarding, coaching, observing, and training of new team members.
  • Participate in Performance Management activities and Talent Development activities.
  • Interact with customers and team members in an accepting and respectful manner, promoting a positive image and serving as a role model.
Requirements
  • Basic computer skills and experience with inventory management software.
  • Previous custom framing experience and retail management experience preferred.
  • Experience leading a sales team and developing sales strategies.
  • Ability to move throughout the store, lift heavy boxes and frames, and access high shelves by ladder or similar equipment.
Work Environment

Public retail store setting with climate-controlled areas and some outdoor work. Frame shop contains glass cutter and heat press. Work hours include nights, weekends, and early mornings.
